Dear friends,
As many of you know, over the past few days there have been devastating fires throughout California’s wine country. Myself and our team have been in touch with many of our friends in Napa Valley, and thankfully everyone is ok at this time. However, there has already been an incredible amount of damage done including hundreds of lost homes, schools, businesses, wineries, and vineyards.
We want to help the relief efforts and send money as fast as possible to the people who need it the most; those that have lost everything. So in response to these catastrophic fires, we have set up our own GoFundMe page in which all monies will be transferred to our preferred charity in the area, The Napa Valley Community Foundation .
The NVCF was initially setup after the earthquake in 2014 and has taken the lead on relief efforts so far in Napa. According to their spokesperson, “The Foundation will distribute immediate response grants to a targeted list of local non-profits that were pre-approved to receive such grants following the 2014 earthquake. Grants will focus on organizations providing services such as medical care, counseling, temporary shelter and meals to the individuals and families affected by the fire.”
I urge you to help our friends in need and give what you can. Even if everyone on my Facebook page, Twitter feed, and email lists just gave $5, we could raise over a million dollars. And if you’re fortunate to be able to give more, there is certainly no limit. The NVCF is a 501c3 non-profit so any money you donate is tax deductible.
Our hearts are heavy and hope that the fires can be contained soon.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Brian Culbertson
